Studies on the RNA, DNA, contents at each party of each year Ginseng Roots cultivated in Pung Ki, Korea

Abstract
|

|
This was to study the amount of nucleic acid in two parts (head, tail) of each year (from two year roots to six years roots) Ginseng cultivated in Pung Ki, Korea.
The results were as follows:
1) In head parts, the highest content of RNA was contained in five year ginseng roots and the lowest in two year ginseng roots.
RNA content of six year ginseng roots failed down rapidly. DNA content was also the same pheomenon as RNA content.
2) In tail parts, the amount of RNA and DNA was also as like the other. Total nucleic acid content was higher in this part than any other part
